Leeds United are set to receive a welcome boost with a possible return after the international break.
The Whites are flying high in the Championship, sitting in third place and firmly in the promotion race so far. Despite selling over four key players during the summer transfer window, Daniel Farke has gotten the best out of the team.
New signings Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell have made an impact, while Farke has managed to bring the best out of Brenden Aaronson who was out of favor last year.
Leeds United have the third best defensive record in the league and boast one of the best attacks so far. Daniel Farke is looking for reinforcements in January to strengthen the squad.

Leeds United star’s return will cause headache for Daniel Farke
Max Wöber has been out for most of the season, and has only appeared in one game since August, in a 3-0 loss to Middlesbrough in the EFL cup. The Austrian defender is now making a return to the first time after a long layoff.
Wöber was called up by Austria for this international break. Despite just recovering from knee and hamstring problems, Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick insisted that he needs the player:
“Max started training again at Leeds a week ago. We don’t have many options in his position.”
When interviewed about his time at Leeds United this season, the defender was upbeat about his pending return to first team action:
“Things are going well in Leeds, I understand from the coach that there is no reason to change anything. I have to remain patient.” He said to Austrian newspaper Kurier.
When asked about replacing Pascal Struijk in the first team upon his return, and Wöber said that is the aim.
“That would be the goal.”
Should Max Wöber return to the starting lineup?
Leeds have the third best defensive record in the championship this season. Last season, the club were the second best defence in the league. They conceded 43 goals, 2 more than Leicester City who were promoted that year.
Wöber has a huge battle on his hands; last season Rodon and Struijk started their formidable partnership and have continue to impress this year. At the moment it does not look likely that Daniel Farke would change a winning team.
The defender’s return will be welcomed ahead of the tough schedule during the festive period. Despite reports of a possible departure, it is highly unlikely that the club would allow Wöber to leave considering the current depth at center back.
