Leeds United have revamped their attack over the summer transfer window. Some of the players that ended last season’s promotion campaign are not at the club anymore.
Joel Piroe finished as top scorer last season, in a Leeds attack that had Manor Solomon – who had 22 goal contributions. Mateo Joseph also played a part as a rotation option. As of now, after the transfer window closed, none of Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph or Largie Ramazani are at the club. Leeds have brought in Lukas Nmecha, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor.
Daniel Farke wanted one more center forward this summer, but the club failed to sign one. Which effectively means that teenager Harry Gray is the fourth-choice option as a number nine going forward.

Daniel Farke’s plan for Harry Gray this season
Harry Gray is yet to feature in any league games this season. Daniel Farke’s words a few weeks ago reflect the plan for the youngster. The Leeds boss wants the striker to develop away from the pressure:
“The plan is to take the focus away from him and not to speak about him too much”,
“16-year-old youngster, I won’t speak too much about Harry because it’s difficult when you play for Leeds United, you have this last name, the whole stadium singing your name, and everyone expects you to celebrate once we get promoted as if you are the only one promoted.
“It’s never healthy for development, so my message is leave him alone a little bit, give him time to grow and develop.
“So this is the last time I will speak about him in a press conference, when he’s on the pitch, then we can speak about him again.”
