Leeds United seem to have turned the corner after their last big result away from home. This weekend will see the Whites face a much tougher task as they take on Bournemouth.
The win over Wolves will definitely give the Whites a lot of confidence. The match saw new signings Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor score their first goals for the club, in Leeds’ first away win of the season.
Bournemouth will be a huge challenge; Andoni Iraola’s side have not lost a game since the opening game against Liverpool. Daniel Farke’s side will have confidence going into the game, especially as they return to Elland Road. Leeds have beaten Everton and held Newcastle to a goalless draw, they will be confident of a result against Everton.

Karl Darlow has been in goal for the last two games after Lucas Perri picked up a muscle injury. Darlow has repaid Daniel Farke’s faith in him with some spectacular performances. The Welshman nearly single-handedly kept the Whites in the game against Fulham, but only conceded due to a late own goal. Darlow was brilliant in the win over Wolves too.
Ahead of the Bournemouth game, Daniel Farke has confirmed that Lucas Perri will be out for another week. Thus Karl Darlow will be in goal against the Cherries:
”Lucas hasn’t been in team training yet. Karl has the chance to play again.
”Excellent in recent games, especially the last away game. Lucas, we hope can join us next week.
”Safe to say he’s not in contention before the international break. Good progress in rehab but not in team training.”
Karl Darlow to continue impressive Leeds United run
The Welshman will continue to deputize in goal. He is yet to keep a clean sheet, but his saves and aerial presence have given Leeds a safe pair of hands. Darlow ended last season showing his quality, when he stepped in and replaced Illan Meslier to help Leeds win the Championship.
He has now shown that he is a keeper who is very capable at Premier League level.
