Leeds United stars set to return to lineup for West Ham game in huge update

Leeds United are still reeling from the shock defeat to Burnley last weekend. But they have no time to waste as they have another crucial game against West Ham on Friday night.

Daniel Farke is under pressure to deliver after news that the club chiefs will be in town to have a meeting. Leeds also have the upper hand as West Ham played on Monday night, giving them less rest and preparation. But Farke did reveal midweek that it would be tough to know which of his players would be available as some were suffering from illness:

”We have to take some late decisions, for sure. We have a few problems in offence, Noah Okafor and Willy Gnonto are making good progress but not able to complete full team training this week.”

”We will definitely take some late decisions. ”

”A few players struggling with illness, Ethan Ampadu and Pascal Struijk missed team training today so a question over their availability.”

Now, there are some updates on if some key first team players will be available on Friday night.

But the Whites have been handed a huge boost just hours ahead of the game. Noah Okafor has posted a matchday graphic on his social media which could mean that the winger will be in contention to feature on Friday night.

He missed the Burnley game, and Daniel Farke will definitely be glad to see him in the team, especially with the attack needing goals.

Inside training reveals other players in contention for Friday night

Okafor is not alone, a couple of players were spotted in the latest inside training video. Pascal Struijk and Harry Gray were also seen in training, which would no doubt be a big boost.

Ethan Ampadu also shared a matchday graphic on his Instagram, hinting that he will be ready in time to face West Ham – he was one of the players who missed training when Daniel Farke initially gave an update on the team midweek.

Leeds are in front of the home crowd on Friday night; they need to get a result to put their season back on track.
