Leeds United left Wednesday night with some bad news as the club added another player to the injury list.
Daniel Farke is already struggling with a depleted squad. It was rare that all the players returned from the international break fully fit. Brenden Aaronson was the only player that missed one game with an illness. Leeds have been without a bunch of players this season.
Farke lost Ethan Ampadu and Illia Gruev in the last week of September after both picked up serious knee injuries. The duo are certainly almost ruled out for the rest of 2024. Leeds have also been without Max Wober for most of the campaign. The Austrian had been out with a knee injury and only returned after the international break.
The club also had to go four weeks without star summer signing Largie Ramazani, who was out with an ankle problem for close to a month.

Leeds United to deal with latest injury blow
Daniel Farke confirmed that Leeds will have to deal with another injured player after Wednesday night. The whites went back to the top of the table with a win over Luton Town. Goals from Sam Byram, Joel Piroe and Dan James were enough to seal all three points at Elland Road. After the game, there has been some negative news around the club; Patrick Bamford was on the bench for the whole game, as Daniel Farke made four substitutions when the game was out of reach. Manor Solomon’s performance on Wednesday night has come under some criticism.
Sam Byram was taken off just 14 minutes into the second half. He seemed to be fine when walking off the pitch, but it was confirmed after the game that Byram had an issue with his hamstring. Manor Solomon was also holding his left leg a lot in the game. Daniel Farke confirmed that the substitution was just a precaution according to BBC journalist Adam Pope:
“Daniel Farke said it was a dominant performance,” he wrote. “Annoyed about conceding a few chances but overall very pleased.
“Byram (hamstring) was brought off as a precaution and hopefully will be ok for Saturday. Solomon fine despite seen holding his left leg during game.”
Another worry for Daniel Farke
Between now and January, Leeds will be involved in a whole lot of games. Having a fully fit squad will be to an advantage for a lot of teams in the league. And with the injuries earlier in the season, Leeds fans will be hoping nobody else is ruled out in the coming days.
