Last weekend’s loss to Burnley has shifted the mood around Leeds United. Many are unhappy that the club failed to take points from one of the clubs around them in the table.
Scott Parker’s side had only won one game this season before the Whites visited Turf Moor. This means that despite having more points, Burnley have more wins that Leeds in the league. The defeat was difficult to take, but last Saturday was just another example of how the club needs to take their chances if they want to accumulate more points as the season goes on.
Farke’s side now have to face West Ham on Friday with the Hammers also looking for their first win under manager Nuno Espirito.

Just days before the game, complications have hit the Leeds United camp. According to Daniel Farke, some players could miss the game as illness has hit the camp. He also gave an update on Noah Okafor and Wilfried Gnonto who do not seem ready to go before Friday.
”We have to take some late decisions, for sure. We have a few problems in offence, Noah Okafor and Willy Gnonto are making good progress but not able to complete full team training this week.
”We will definitely take some late decisions. Noah was not out for as long as Willy so perhaps a bit more realistic, but we’ll see.”
Farke also added that Ampadu and Struijk missed training today and their status is questionable to face West Ham.
”A few players struggling with illness, Ethan Ampadu and Pascal Struijk missed team training today so a question over their availability.”
Bad news ahead of tough clash
Ahead of Friday, Leeds need all the help they can get. The Burnley result has introduced a lot of negativity around the team and coach. West Ham look like a tough opponent, but their form this season shows that Leeds could stand a slim chance of getting the result. And in front of a home crowd at Elland Road, anything can happen after 90 minutes.
