Leeds United have brought in seven new players this summer. But the club have not done a good job of offloading players, so far just two first team stars have left the club on transfer deals.
The Whites are yet to even spend £100million, in contrast to their fellow promoted side Sunderland. What Leeds have done well is recruiting smartly, the club have spent well while addressing the quality and depth needed in the team this summer.
Despite all that, Leeds still need to offload some players. Some need to go to balance the books, while others have no future at the club. Max Wober and Charlie Crew are the only two players who have left Elland Road on transfer deals so far. In the coming weeks, we could see a flurry of exits as some unwanted players find new homes.
But for the meantime, Patrick Bamford, Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt continue to train with the U21 side.

Leeds United player suffers injury out on loan

Max Wober was the first Leeds player to seek a move away from the club this summer. He joined Werder Bremen on loan after he was deemed surplus to requirement earlier this year.
The Austrian has been a part of pre-season with the Bundesliga side. Unfortunately, a report from BILD has shared that the defender has been injured in first team training. Wober went down holding his right knee, and underwent ‘extensive treatment’ before he was taken off the field.
Werder Bremen will assess the injury and give a clear picture of what happened in the next 24 hours.
Long-term injury could mean loan deal is in jeopardy
The full medical report is yet to emerge, but the initial reports are not good. Wober has had surgery on the same right knee twice since he arrived in England.
If it is indeed discovered that the injury will rule him out long-term, Werder Bremen are allowed to terminate the loan deal. This will allow the player to return to Thorp Arch for treatment and rehabilitation.
Leeds need to hope for the best
Max Wober is a great player, and no one wishes injury on their employees. It just so happens that he fell out of favour and sought a move away. Another long-term spell on the injury table would be excruciating for the Austrian, after he spent months out last season. Hopefully, the injury is not as severe as speculated.
