Leeds United spent more than £100m on 10 new recruits over the summer transfer window. Their failure to add more attackers to the squad has attracted criticism, but the club are confident that they have brought in the right players to keep the team in the Premier League this season.
The Whites have already shown signs this season that they are going to be an incredibly hard nut to crack at home, even for some of the top Premier League sides, and are going to be tough to beat at home.
Everton were beaten 1-0 on the opening day of the season, and Leeds battled Newcastle to a stalemate at Elland Road just before the international break last month.
Anton Stach has emerged as a revelation in the midfield and has been the creative hub of the team. However, Sean Longstaff, another midfield recruit, is now being backed to really get into his rhythm at Elland Road in the next few weeks.
Can you name these 10 former Leeds United goalkeepers?
Sean Longstaff has been backed to star at Leeds United

Sean Longstaff was not in the starting eleven for Leeds in the first two Premier League games. But injuries to Ao Tanaka and Ethan Ampadu brought him into the eleven against Newcastle.
The former Newcastle midfielder was absolutely brilliant against his former teammates and produced a Man of the Match performance at Elland Road just before the international break.
Celebrated football commentator Ian Darke admitted that he has no idea why Longstaff has not been a certain starter at Leeds at the start of the season.
However, he is certain that the midfielder will explode at Leeds and force his way to become a regular in the starting eleven in the Premier League this season.
“I don’t know whether in training or they just don’t feel he’s shown up well enough so far”, Darke told MOT Leeds News.
“But I think Longstaff will force his way in; it’s maybe just a transition period with him in settling in. I think that was a good buy for them, and I’d expect him to see plenty of action, really.”
Farke has a selection headache
Tanaka and Ampadu are said to have returned to training with the squad his week, and are in line to return to the team for the Fulham game.
However, Longstaff’s performance against Newcastle makes it tough for Farke to drop him from the midfield, and Anton Stach is likely a certainty.
The Leeds manager can now afford to avoid rushing in one of the two injured midfielders and keep the former Newcastle star in the team at Craven Cottage.
