After their win on Friday night, both Leeds and Burnley are on 91 points while Sheffield United are further back with 86 points. With three games left in the season, let us look at how many the Whites need to guarantee promotion.
The Blades and the Clarets are the only other teams in the chasing pack; with Chris Wilder’s men having a huge task to finish in the automatic promotion spots. There are three games left, with a maximum of nine points possible. With the Blades facing Burnley next, Leeds have an advantage.
If Sheffield fail to beat Burnley, Leeds need just one point to secure promotion. And if the Blades manage to win, a minimum of four points will be needed.
