Leeds United are targeting reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Whites are flying high in the championship this season. After 15 games, Daniel Farke’s men have 29 points and are firmly in the race for Premier League promotion. Leeds are just two points behind the league leaders Sunderland and Sheffield United.
The club have done well to put themselves in a favorable position at this point of the season. The run of fixtures after this international break will be key in finding out the real contenders for the league.
As a result, Leeds have targeted multiple players to beef up the squad ahead of January.

One of the key targets ahead of the January window is Sunderland fullback Dennis Cirkin. Initial reports have linked the English defender with a move to Elland Road. With Junior Firpo out of contract next year, Leeds are preparing for his departure.
The 28-year old is free to negotiate with clubs from January 1st. Firpo has not made the stance on his future clear with his contract running out. Dennis Cirkin has now come out to speak on his future at Sunderland:
“On a personal level, sometimes I think about it and it’s just surreal to me.
“Going a whole season with three recurring injuries was a dark time and then looking at this season, I’m doing my best to keep fit.
“At the end of the day, I’m just enjoying it and that’s the most important thing, I think, is just to enjoy it with the ups, the downs, the challenges. I think I thrive off the pressure, off the challenges.”
Leeds are also interested in signing Gent defender Archie Brown. The England U20 star has been making waves since he left Derby County. Leeds will find it difficult as multiple Premier League clubs are also interested in signing the 22-year old.
What does this mean for the club?
It is now looking likely that Archie Brown and Dennis Cirkin will not arrive at Elland Road unless something drastic happens. Which leaves the club in a serious dilemma; do they move now for a long term left back or do they wait till the summer in the hopes that Firpo renews his contract?
