Leeds United target emerges on the radar of two Turkish clubs

Trabzonspor and Galatasaray are interested in getting their hands on Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing who has also been a Leeds United target in the summer.

Leeds did have a frantic end to the summer transfer window and managed to bring in a few new names before it closed in England last Friday.

However, there are some deals Leeds missed out on with suggestions that Daniel Farke was left annoyed by the club failing to secure some of his top targets.

Billing was one of the players Leeds tried to sign on loan from Bournemouth towards the end of the window but an agreement could not be reached.

However, the central midfielder could still leave the Premier League side in the coming days due to interest from Turkey.

Leeds United target on the radar of two Turkish giants

While the window in England and most of Europe closed on Friday, the transfer window is still open for clubs in Turkey until September 13.

Billing has been a bit-part player at Dean Court and made an appearance from the bench in the opening weekend of the season for Andoni Iraola’s side.

The midfielder could have an escape route to Turkey where Trabzonspor and Galatasaray are interested in signing the Dutchman.

According to Gune Bakis, both clubs have made attempts to set up a deal to sign Billing but so far, Bournemouth are not prepared to let him leave at this stage of the season.

Trabzonspor and Galatasaray have little over a week to convince the Premier League club to let the midfielder move on this summer.

With the transfer window closed in England, Leeds can’t get involved in the race and the two Turkish side have a clear run at trying to get Billing in the next eight days.

The midfielder still has three years left on his contract and any last-minute move is likely to be a loan deal.
