Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has had a bigger impact on this season than most fans realize. The Whites hit a 100 points in the Championship, scoring 95 goals on the way to lifting the league title.
Before the season began, there were questions about if the club were going to bounce back from their playoff disappointments. Losing three of their best players in the summer window didn’t help. But Farke guided his team to an impressive points tally in the league despite his constraints.
Two signings played a major part in the club’s success this season – Ao Tanaka and Manor Solomon. Daniel Farke played a huge part in bringing the duo to West Yorkshire. Tanaka’s performances this campaign did not go unnoticed as he was voted Leeds players’ player of the year. Manor Solomon scored the winner to lift the league title on the final day.

Club chairman Paraag Marathe has already backed Daniel Farke this summer. The German is expected to play a big role in signings when the window opens.
Leeds could return for a January target this summer after the latest news. According to Bild, Gladbach defender Nico Elvedi has handed in a transfer request and is expected to leave the club this summer.
“Nico Elvedi (28) had already had a clarifying conversation with (Roland, Gladbach sporting director) Virkus on Thursday afternoon, and he is said to have once again stated his wish to transfer.”
The defender is part of a host of players who are open to leaving the Bundesliga club in the coming months.
Elvedi could provide solid depth
With the future of Max Wober, Sam Byram and Junior Firpo unclear, Leeds will need defensive depth this summer. Elvedi has some versatility too – the defender can fill in at right back. Leeds could potentially fill two positions with one signing this summer. Gladbach would probably have to sell the 28-year old at a lower fee due to the transfer request.
