With only three options down the flanks, Leeds United have shown interest in another full-back. As The Whites failed to sign Wolves’ Hugo Bueno on loan, the club is looking forward to signing a backup.
According to Reporter DaveOCKOP, Leeds United are keen on signing Liverpool and Wales U21 international Owen Beck. Championship rivals Queen Park Rangers are also interested with Scottish Premiership side Celtic keen on a permanent deal.

Owen is a Liverpool academy graduate and the nephew of The Reds legend Ian Rush. The 22-year-old has made only one appearance for the senior side at Anfield with multiple loan spells since 2022.
For the start of the 2022/23 season, Beck joined FamalicĆ£o. Having made no appearances for the Portuguese top-tier side by the end of August, he was recalled and then sent on loan to Bolton Wanderers.
He made nine appearances for Bolton and later the loan agreement was terminated by mutual consent in January. The Welshman went on loan to Scottish Premiership side Dundee next season where he impressed. He was also included in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year.
Potential impact of Owen Beck at Leeds United
Beck returned to Liverpool in mid-March to get treatment for his persistent groin injuries. Now, with the Premier League season starting in just a few days, Owen is expected to move again on loan for further development.
Celtic are keen on signing the player permanently with Liverpool’s valuation of the player at Ā£3 million. The Bhoys are said to be a little off with their valuation and might persuade Liverpool to further talks.
Leeds United can benefit from the Welshaman’s arrival at Elland Road. The Whites want him on loan and can use him to maintain depth down the wings.
He can provide competition to Junior Firpo with Sam Byram and Jayden Bogle fighting it down the right. This can ensure stability and depth at the back which The 49ers lack at the moment.
Only two injuries are required for the full-back system to collapse at Leeds United. Owen Beck remains a promising talent and United can take advantage of this opportunity.
