Daniel Farke has pushed for reinforcements after his team suffered multiple injuries from the start of the campaign. The club have had to do without Max Wöber, Ethan Ampadu, Illia Gruev and more recently Joe Gelhardt. Despite having to play a chunk of the season without depth at center back and in midfield, Leeds United are currently third in the championship.

Ahead of the January transfer window, Leeds have been tipped to sign two players. Sunderland fullback Dennis Cirkin has been identified as a major target for the club. With the contract situation of Junior Firpo becoming clearer every week, the club need a long term replacement. Firpo refused to comment on whether he will leave the club earlier this season. Leeds will reportedly have to pay £15million to sign Cirkin from fellow promotion rivals.

Ryan Kent has also been strongly linked with a move to Leeds United. The 28-year old is a free agent after leaving Fenerbahce over the past few months. Kent has had interest from multiple clubs in the Championship as well as Saudi Arabia. Leeds will be looking to boost their attack, which has needed goals this season.

Will the team sign anyone in January?

It is very important that Leeds find some signings in January if they expect to put up a serious challenge for Premier League promotion. The midfield and attack are clear areas that need to be strengthened.
