Leeds United tipped to sign former Chelsea, Arsenal prodigy – He has ”bright sparks and potential”

Leeds United have a summer of big decisions ahead of them. After sealing Premier League promotion, now the hard part begins.

Recruitment is very difficult as a newly promoted club. Your options are very limited, and you will more often than not be beaten to major targets by bigger clubs. It is a way different time than back in 2020 when Leeds signed Raphinha and Rodrigo Moreno in the summer before their Premier League return.

The Whites have recently been linked with Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff.

Sky Sports pundit Lee Hendrie is a big fan of Omari Hutchinson, and thinks Leeds should take a look at signing him.

“I think that will [a potential exit] be the case with a lot of the players who have had a taste of Premier League football, Omari Hutchinson being one of them,” Hendrie told FLW.

“The likes of Delap, a lot of these players you feel might get an opportunity. I think we saw that last season with Luton, obviously they got relegated and a lot of their players were getting linked away from the football club.

Hendrie believes a lot of players would be willing to make the jump up to the Premier League with Leeds United.

“I think it really dejected the club in so many elements because lots of players were disappointed they couldn’t go, and that was a counter-effect on the way Luton’s season went.

“Lots of teams now have seen some of these players come up against top Premier League sides and perform, Hutchinson is one of them. Bright sparks and potential, it might be one of the clubs that are going up that might take a fancy and a hit on him.”

He’s still young, but he has the ability to beat his man with ease. His decision making during counter attacks is also sound. Hutchinson would be a great fit in Daniel Farke’s side as he has the versatility to play in multiple attacking roles. Ipswich will make a sale difficult, after they signed him from Chelsea for around £20million.
