Leeds United have been wrapped up in a transfer storm lately as Daniel Farke looks to solve the midfield conundrum looming over the club.
Since the loss of Ethan Ampadu and Ilia Gruev to injury, Leeds United have been forced to rely upon Ao Tanaka and Joe Rothwell in midfield but last night’s (22nd October) win over Watford highlighted the problem of leaning on the duo despite their impressive form.
This is because the duo had to play both at the weekend and then midweek and with so many games in the Championship, it seems there is no way that will stop unless Leeds United bring in reinforcements.
They have been linked with Liverpool Ace Tyler Morton in January but they certainly need an immediate signing hence the need to turn towards a free agent.

In their need to bring in a midfielder as soon as possible, they turned to French international Joshua Guilavogui. The 34-year-old brings huge amounts of experience having played 250 games for VfL Wolfsburg and becoming their club captain. He also starred for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and has been available since the end of last season after the expiry of his deal with Mainz. During his spell with Mainz, he came up against top class stars like England captain Harry Kane and has often battled with the best players across Europe’s top five leagues and will be bringing that quality to Elland Road.
This comes as lorded journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the midfielder has signed a deal with Leeds United, which is expected to be until the end of the season.
Leeds United set to announce Guilavogui
Following that update, it is understood that Leeds United will announce the arrival of the Frenchman imminently in a move that will ameliorate the pressure on Tanaka and Rothwell in midfield.
With Leeds well in the hunt for automatic promotion but the games set to keep on coming thick and fast, the ability to draft in an extra body to manage the work load in the centre of the park is a massive boost as Farke looks to lead Leeds back to the Premier League.
