Leeds United fans are rightfully expecting a lot of arrivals this summer. But it will not be as straightforward as it seems. Building a squad for the Premier League is really tough.
Daniel Farke and the technical team will also need to assess the current options to see if they are suitable to play next season. And if some players are not ready, they might leave the club in the summer. Outside this, Leeds will need to balance the books as reports claim the club will spend heavily.
PSR sanctions could follow if the numbers do not tally. There are quite a number of players at Elland Road who could be moved off the books when the summer comes around.

Illan Meslier is one of the first names expected to leave after the events of this season. The French keeper was dropped during the run-in, and Leeds eventually won the Championship. Now, there are rumours that this summer is his last at the club.
Sam Byram and Junior Firpo are scheduled to have talks with Leeds United over their expiring deals. Firpo is attracting interest all over Europe, while Byram has made his desire to stay next season very clear. Joe Gelhardt is another first team player looking to resolve his future after Hull City’s managerial change all but ruined a potential deal.
One surprise name could be Max Wober. The Austrian defender barely featured due to injury, and has dropped down the pecking order after a strong start to his career. In February, Peter Linden reported that the relationship between Wober and Daniel Farke is ”tense”.
No fee has officially been mentioned, but an amount between £5million and £10million could be considered.
No use in keeping Max Wober
The Austrian has fallen down the pecking order and lost his place in the team. If the reports are true, a move away from Elland Road would be the best for the former RB Salzburg star. Wober is still good and can play at the highest level, and the club could get a decent fee off him.
Leeds would need to sort out a replacement if that happened. This situation could be similar to Rasmus Kristensen’s, who sealed his move away around January.
