Leeds United are pushing to bring in more players before the end of the transfer window. Daniel Farke wants to further strengthen his squad, despite securing nine new signings this summer, and the club are expected to bring in at least a couple more new personnel.
The 5-0 defeat at Arsenal came as a rude awakening for a Leeds team that were flying high following their win over Everton at Elland Road on their opening day of the Premier League season. The squad still have a few holes that need to be plugged before the window closes next Monday night.
Leeds are on the cusp of finalising the arrival of James Justin from Leicester City this week. They have agreed to pay a fee of £8m plus another £2m in add-ons, with the defender expected to complete the transfer in the coming hours.
The Whites are also looking to bring in one more forward before the end of the transfer window, and an unexpected cash windfall could help their cause to bring in new signings before the September 1st deadline.

Leeds United are set to receive an unexpected cash windfall

Leeds are pushing to secure a few deals before the end of the window, and the club are set to receive a helping hand from a former player in the coming days.
According to The Athletic, Borussia Dortmund are in talks to sign former Leeds defender Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse before the September 1st transfer deadline.
The French club, which signed Cresswell last year, have already rejected an offer from the German giants, but Dortmund are still pushing to secure his transfer.
If the centre-back joins Dortmund before the end of the window, it will lead to a significant cash windfall for Leeds in the coming days.
Leeds sold Cresswell for a deal worth around £3.8m, but secured a significant sell-on clause in the agreement with the French club last summer.
The Whites would be due 15 percent of the profits from the sale of the centre-back in the ongoing transfer window.
Leeds are also set to make space in their squad and wage bill through the departure of Largie Ramazani to Valencia on loan.
Selling Cresswell is not looking good for Farke
Cresswell struggled to get minutes under Farke and was eventually sold to Toulouse, where he shone like a bright star last season.
He was also instrumental in helping the England Under-21s to win the European Championship last month.
If Dortmund, one of the big names of German football and a Champions League club, end up signing Cresswell, it would look poorly on Farke’s decision to let him go.
The Leeds boss never really gave the young defender a chance, and if he ends up playing for one of the biggest clubs in Europe, he would have proved the manager wrong.
