Leeds United under fire as the FA investigates Tottenham chaos at Elland Road

Leeds United were already disappointed by the manner of their 2-1 defeat against Tottenham on Saturday, as they completely dominated the game. However, their problems are likely to compound following an FA intervention.

Tottenham escaped with three points in their bag from a game that they were never in control of, no matter what Thomas Frank wants everyone else to believe.

Leeds dominated the game and should have won. However, they were undone by their inability to convert the chances they created and a couple of mistakes from their defensive unit.

However, Leeds could be in more trouble as the behaviour of the Elland Road crowd following Tottenham’s second goal has come under fire, with the club now facing the prospect of getting sanctioned by the FA.

The FA open investigations against Leeds after the Tottenham incident

Former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett has already insisted that Leed should face investigations after objects were thrown at Tottenham players after their second goal.

Tottenham forward Mohammed Kudus celebrated in front of the South Stand at Elland Road after scoring the winner, and a bottle was thrown in his direction.

Pedro Porro also highlighted objects getting thrown at him and his Tottenham teammates from the stands, and it could now land Leeds in some trouble.

According to the Daily Mail via MOT Leeds News, the FA has launched an investigation into the conduct of the Elland Road crowd during Leeds’ clash with Tottenham.

If found guilty, Leeds are expected to face a hefty financial penalty and could be asked to identify the culprits who threw the objects at the Tottenham players.

Those fans, if identified, could be given a lifetime ban from attending Leeds games.
