Leeds United return from the international break and go straight into a tough clash this weekend. They face Fulham away from home on Saturday.
The Whites will be hoping to continue the positive form they entered the break with. Leeds picked up four points from a possible nine, and have a great home record. However, all the problems lie away from home. Daniel Farke’s side have conceded six goals on the road, failing to win a single game.
Fulham will be looking for their first league win of the season, after three poor results. Marco Silva’s side could be without Issa Diop, who missed the last game with a knock. Leeds have some problems of their own as they have three injury worries. Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka could miss the game, and Ilia Gruev is yet to be assessed after he picked up a knock during the international break.

Leeds United game referee already in controversy ahead of Saturday’s game

The Premier League announced Craig Pawson as the referee for this weekend’s game. This will be the first time since 2024; Leeds beat Leicester City 3-1 on the day.
Craig Pawson found himself at the center of controversy earlier this year after failing to issue a red card during Liverpool’s draw with Aston Villa. The incident involved Axel Disasi catching Alexis Mac Allister in the face, yet Pawson only showed the defender a yellow card. Former referee and ex-PGMOL chief Keith Hackett criticized Pawson’s decision, stating that he “got the decision wrong” and that Disasi should have been sent off for the challenge.
He has once again been involved in a shocking refereeing decision. According to the BBC, the Key Match incidents panel thinks Pawson should have awarded Wolverhampton Wanderers a penalty in Everton’s 3-2 win before the international break.

3 out of 5 members said that Iliman Ndiaye fouled Hugo Bueno and that VAR Craig Pawson’s decision not to intervene was a mistake. This is not a good sign for the man who will be officiating proceedings when Leeds take to the pitch this weekend.
