Leeds United veteran lays down improvement demand after victory

Leeds United veteran

Noah Okafor had a decent show against West Ham United at Elland Road. Despite the performance, former Leeds United star Stuart Dallas has called out the player, demanding improvement.

The Whites saw a win at home, pushing them to the 13th spot with 11 points. Having lost two games in a row, with one against fellow promotion side Burnley, the fans were furious.

After suffering an injury against Tottenham Hotspur, Okafor couldn’t make an appearance against the Clarets, where the Yorkshire-based outfit didn’t score a single goal.

Coming back from an injury, the Swiss international laid down a chance for Brenden Aaronson when he headed the ball on target.

The attempt was saved by the goalkeeper, but Aaronson didn’t commit any mistakes on the deflection. Farke, however, is worried again with no clear insights from the winger’s latest injury.

Talking on Sky Sports, Leeds United veteran Stuart Dallas claimed that there are still aspects that Okafor can improve on. The former Northern Irish international already likes him, but would like to see a better version of the Swiss international.

Listen, I like him. I think he’s got a lot about him. He’s quick, he’s direct. Can he be better in different situations? With his back to goal, I think he needs to be a lot better as well.”

But, obviously, Daniel trusts him a lot. Leeds lack a little bit of creativity, so they’ve brought him back in after injury. I personally would have thought he’d have gone with Dan James tonight, but Noah’s obviously fit enough to start, so he’s got a goal threat in him.”

And he’s starting to build a relationship in the games that he has played with Gudmundsson on that left-hand side. You can see the relationship between the two of them. So I would say that’s been a big factor in why Daniel has gone with Noah tonight.”

Okafor’s latest injury

Things have turned out to be a bit tricky, though, as Farke wasn’t hoping to take out his favourite winger again. The German gaffer will be hoping to see Okafor against Brighton and Hove Albion next weekend as the Whites take on a bigger challenge.

Explaining the injury, Farke wasn’t sure of the extent, but it is alarming considering the player just came back from one. “Not pre-planned, but let’s see how he goes. Was a really difficult week”, Farke told the press.
