With four games to go in the Championship, Leeds United have almost guaranteed Premier League promotion. After Saturday’s result, there has been a massive shift the run-in.
Leeds boosted their chances of promotion with a win at Elland Road on Saturday. The Whites continued their fine home form; Daniel Farke’s men are unbeaten at home in 2025. Burnley won their game on Friday night, which put the pressure on the Whites to get a result on Saturday. Sheffield United also played at the same time as Leeds, in the early kick off.
While Farke’s men were able to put away their opponents, the Blades slipped and dropped points – losing to Plymouth.

Battle to avoid relegation ⬇️
Who will make the play-offs? 😬— Opta Analyst (@OptaAnalyst) April 13, 2025
The supercomputer predicts Leeds to win the Championship – the Whites have a 65.16% chance of winning the title. Even though Burnley are level on points, they only have a 34.10% chance. This could be because of the Claret’s final four games where they face Sheffield United in a crucial clash next weekend.
Upcoming schedule gives hope
The Whites have a 98.64% of promotion. Leeds’ final four games are against Oxford, Bristol City, Stoke City and Plymouth. Out of these four, only one team has something to play for – Bristol City. Oxford and Stoke can confirm their survival in the next round of fixtures.

The Robins are so close to securing their place in the Championship playoffs. All the other teams are basically safe from danger. However, Plymouth could be a problem on the final day. The Pilgrims are locked in the relegation battle with four games to go. If they do manage to take the fight to the final day of the season, and Leeds have not secured the title yet, it could pose a problem.

Super computer? You mean the one that changes its mind every week based on the results. Just like people do. And “Bold prediction”? How bold is it, when they’re top with 4 games left and the 2 teams behind them have to play each other. Surely if was a super computer, it should be able to determine it after 10 games and stick with it
