Leeds United XI vs Bristol City – Harry Gray to make full debut

Leeds United now have to snap out of their celebrations from being promoted to the Premier League this week. With the title to fight for, Bristol City are the next opponents on Monday night.

After Scott Parker complained about fixture scheduling recently, he will enjoy having played over 48 hours before Leeds. Burnley thrashed QPR 5-0 on Saturday, putting a statement win in their fun for the title. Clarets boss Scott Parker says his side is focused on winning the league the end of the season.

“It’s probably easy in these moments to maybe take your foot off a little bit, with part of it being done, but full focus on us trying to win this league now and I thought that performance showed that.

“We always had belief. There’s always noise and people wanting to be critical, but I always had belief and the team always had belief. We’ve had rock-solid belief and knew we had quality.”

On Monday, Leeds will host a Bristol City side determined to continue their decent league run. Liam Manning’s side have won three of their last five fixtures and will be hoping to add another one. Leeds have won promotion, and will need a few more points to secure the title. They need to win on Monday as Burnley have already won this weekend.

Leeds will have no immediate injury problems ahead of the game, while Bristol City will be without two players at Elland Road. The two sides played a goalless draw back in October.

Predicted lineup vs Bristol City

Daniel Farke is expected to name a fairly similar team to the lineup against Stoke City. But the Leeds boss could hand Harry Gray a surprise start in front of the home crowd. Outside that, everybody seems ready to go for Monday’s game.

Predicted Leeds United lineup: Darlow; Bogle, Ampadu, Rodon, Firpo; Ao Tanaka, Gray; James, Aaronson, Solomon; Piroe.

The club need a win if they want to stand any chance of lifting the league title at the end of the season.
