Monday will be an important day for Leeds United. The Whites could seal Premier League promotion with a result in front of their home fans, knowing that Burnley and Sheffield United play each other on the same day.
Leeds know that if the Blades fail to get a result against the Clarets, Premier League football is guaranteed next season. The club are so close, and Opta has given them a 99% chance of promotion.
They will first have to go through Stoke City. The potters are unbeaten in their last five games ahead of their visit to Elland Road. Leeds will hope their impeccable home form will see them through – the Whites have lost just one game at home this season.

Leeds will welcome back Dan James to the first team. The winger picked up a knock against Middlesbrough and missed the Preston game. He made the bench against Oxford but failed to play a minute. Daniel Farke has also confirmed that Manor Solomon will be available after he seemed to have picked up a knock on Friday.
Stoke City on the other hand, have a whole host of doubts heading into Friday’s game. Jordan Thompson recently revealed that he is out for the season. Mark Robins could also be without Ben Gibson and Eric Bocat.
Predicted Leeds starting lineup
Daniel Farke is not one to change a winning team. But the return of Dan James means that Wilfried Gnonto is likely to move to the bench. Despite Brenden Aaronson and Joel Piroe’s woes infront of goal, they are expected to start on Monday. Stoke City will be a tough opponent, but Leeds’ form at Elland Road could ultimately be too much for them to handle.
Predicted Leeds United XI: Darlow; Bogle, Rodon, Ampadu, Firpo; Tanaka, Gruev; James, Aaronson, Solomon; Piroe
