According to Football Insider, Leeds United will only sell Wilfried Gnonto for £40million this summer.
The Italian forward has been the target of many clubs after his breakout season with The Whites. After arriving for around £3million from Zurich, the youngster has won over the Elland Road faithful with his performances.
The Football Insider reports that Aston Villa and Everton are currently in the race to sign the highly rated youngster this summer. A few months ago, there were reports that Leeds would be open to selling Gnonto as well as a host of first team players if they were relegated.
The Italian scored two goals and provided four assists in 14 league starts last season. Villa are especially keen on the player as Unai Emery prepares his squad for European football.
Gnonto is still has four years left on his contract at Elland Road, which runs until 2027.
The club have said they will let him go for £21,5M. Keep up
Difficult to keep up, when so many so called journalists just make it up.
