There could be another outgoing at Elland Road before the transfer window shuts as Leeds winger Ian Poveda has fallen out of favour with manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Poveda was a common feature off the bench last season but it seems as though his time may be up. Poveda failed to make the matchday squad for either Leeds’ 5-1 defeat at Old Trafford or the Under 23s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Monday, further adding fuel to the fire that something isn’t right between Bielsa and himself.
Football Insider have reported that Leeds are willing to listen to both loan and permanent offers for Poveda. They also broke the news on Friday prior to the Manchester United game that Poveda wouldn’t be in the matchday squad, despite the Premier League allowing extra substitutes.
Poveda hasn’t progressed that much over the past year and with the younger Crysencio Summerville providing some stellar performances for the Under 23s, it looks like this could be the end of the line for the former Manchester City player.
