Leicester and Leeds are two sides who are arguably achieving far more than what was expected of them this season. The Foxes look settled in the top four whilst Leeds are sniffing around the top half. But with success comes interest in your players.
So often we see high-performing players from mid-table sides pulled in by the top teams. Now as one of the top teams in the league, Leicester have the pulling power to bring in the best talent from the mid-table which includes plenty of Leeds’ best performers.
And reports have it that the Foxes are looking at a move for Leeds defender Pascal Strujik. With plenty of injuries in the United defence and midfield, Strujik has played plenty of games and proved more than solid for the Mighty Whites defensively.
According to Sports Witness, his form has sparked interest from Brendan Rodgers and Leicester City. Given Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking style of play, Strujik is more than comfortable with the ball at his feet as well as having the ability to defend against fast breaking teams. So, the defender would more than fit in at Leicester and could even provide cover for Ndidi in defensive midfield.
If Leicester maintain course and claim a Champions League spot, they’ll have the assets to make this signing and it could strengthen their defensive options allowing them to balance both Premier League and European football next season.
