According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Leeds defender Diego Llorente is on the verge of completing a move to AS Roma.
The report from Di Marzio claims that there is a “total agreement” in place for him to rejoin the Serie A side, with a purchase option included. Llorente joined the Europa League finalists on loan earlier this season, and made nine league appearances for the team.
He is set to spend another season with the Italian side, this time with a clause at the end of the loan. Leeds have included an obligation to buy in the deal according to Di Marzio:
“Roma have found a total agreement for a loan with an obligation to buy from Leeds, again focusing on the Spanish defender from the former Malaga and Real Sociedad. In these hours, the exchange of documents between the parties. Then, it will also be time for the official announcement.”
