Loan star won’t return to Leeds United in January

Daniel Farke is concerned with the match scheduling post international break

Leeds United expect to spend money in the winter transfer window to strengthen the squad. They are third in the Championship table and the club are prepared to make more funds available to Daniel Farke to boost their chances of getting promoted this season.

The Whites are planning to bring in reinforcements and are keen to make sure that they have a stronger squad at the end of the January transfer window.

Leeds are chasing automatic promotion to the Premier League and are prepared to ensure that they do not lose steam towards the end of the season and miss out like the 2023/24 campaign.

The Yorkshire giants are looking at several areas of their squad but Farke is believed to be particularly focused on bringing in reinforcements for the defence and midfield.

However, there were suggestions that the Leeds forward line could have had an unexpected reinforcement in January if a loan star returned to Elland Road.

Club’s stance on loan star returning to Leeds

Jack Harrison has struggled this season at Everton and his performances have seen him getting dropped from the starting eleven.

His struggles at Goodison Park led to claims that Everton are considering terminating his loan and returning him to Leeds in the winter transfer window.

However, according to TEAMTalk, those suggestions have been squashed by the Merseyside outfit.

While Harrison is not pulling up trees this season, Everton still do not want to terminate his loan in January and will keep him at the club.

Sean Dyche does not want to weaken his squad in any way possible even if the Leeds loanee has been doing scant little to contribute this season.

With the club’s finances still a mess and the squad small, Dyche is unlikely to get the funds to replace Harrison so he is set to stay at Goodison Park.

Any hope of Leeds getting Harrison back for the latter half of the season seems fanciful and Farke will have to look at other solutions.
