This summer transfer window may see Daniel Farke revive interest in previous Leeds United targets. The last two transfer windows saw the club miss out on some players for different reasons.
Farke was keen on adding a creative midfielder who could play the number 10 role. Leeds spent the latter part of last summer’s window pursuing Sheffield United star Gus Hamer. But a deal failed to materialize, and the window shut. Brenden Aaronson fulfilled the number 10 role this season, and was decent playing a big part in the league title win.
January saw a very quiet window from the Whites, as PSR concerns meant the club did not really push for signings.

Last week there were reports that Leeds would be back in for Gus Hamer after Sheffield United lost the Championship play-off final. There is a feeling around the club that they might lose their star player this summer.
Another player the Whites could go back in for is Emi Buendia. The Argentine was a target for Leeds before he moved to Leverkusen on loan in January. Reports claimed that Leeds were seeking a permanent move this summer, however the latest information has changed things.
According to Alan Nixon, Buendia is not keen on a permanent move to Elland Road. He wants to avoid a relegation battle, meaning that a loan move is more likely. This presents a dilemma for Leeds, as they will only be allowed two loan deals from Premier League sides.
Leeds should take the loan deal
A one-year deal for Emi Buendia is a good offer. Leeds do not take a risk on buying him permanently. The Argentine also has experience at this level and could bring some quality to the attack. Having worked with Daniel Farke previously, one would assume Elland Road would be high on his destinations this summer.
