Leeds United can be happy with their position entering the international break. The Whites have managed to take four points from a possible nine in the Premier League.
Daniel Farke’s men secured a shock win over Everton on the opening day, and held Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side to a goalless draw. Elland Road has been very important in the first few games for Leeds.
On the other hand, the fact that the club did not bring in any reinforcements on deadline day frustrated a lot of people. A deal for Harry Wilson fell through before the deadline, and Leeds managing director explained why:
“It’s pretty straightforward in that we had a player targeted, and it didn’t come through. We thought we had the right price. We put the offer in above that price, the player was on board. Club couldn’t get it done. Their club couldn’t get it done.”

The Whites have received good news this week as first team star is set to be available for selection. Gabriel Gudmunsson has shaken off a knock and is ready to play in Sweden’s next game according to head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson.
“He says he’s flying, I hope he is. He’s okay, he assures.” Tomasson said to Aftonbladet.
The left back lasted for just 80 minutes in the game against Newcastle over the weekend.
This comes after the news that Joe Rodon pulling out of international duty is because of concussion protocol. Wales boss Craig Bellamy said the player did not make the trip to Astana for the game. The defender will be fit in time to face Fulham.
Daniel Farke will hope for a clean slate this week
Leeds boss Daniel Farke will hope none of his players on international duty pick up injuries. Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka are both out due to injury and are expected to be back after the international break. The good news is that a host of players remained at Elland Road and can work on their match fitness ahead of the Fulham game.
