The summer transfer opened during the weekend and Leeds United can now sign some players. Fans and executives at the club know this summer needs to go well to set them up for success next season.
With the Premier League coming up, Leeds need some serious quality in the squad if they want to compete and hopefully survive the division.
From last season, there are some areas of the squad that need to be addressed. Mainly, a new goalkeeper and possibly, another attacker. These two positions are priorities after questions surrounding the current options.

Leeds enter the summer window with Karl Darlow and Illan Meslier as their main goalkeeping options. The rumours of Meslier leaving continue to make the headlines.
The Whites are said to be in the market for a new keeper, and have been linked with some big names. According to TBR Football, Southampton keeper Aaron Ramsdale has been added to Leeds United’s shortlist for this summer. The club is yet to decide between Caoimhin Kelleher and Sam Johnstone. But with the Liverpool stopper set to leave Anfield, it seems Ramsdale is now an option.
The England keeper is reported to have a £25million relegation release clause.
Ramsdale has too many question marks
Aaron Ramsdale has had a decent career, making the move to Arsenal showed that he had some potential. But his time there showed his deficiencies. The England keeper seems to have similar tendencies to Illan Meslier – they both have a lot of mistakes in them.

But Ramsdale’s red flags come from the numbers. The 27-year old has had five seasons where he has started more than 30 games. And in those five seasons, he has kept 10 or more clean sheets just twice. Ultimately your defence plays a part in whether you face shots and concede goals, but the numbers are just not in Ramdsale’s favour.
Leeds United should really consider alternatives.
