To navigate the transfer market this summer, Leeds United will have to think outside the box. Building a squad to compete in the Premier League is not easy, but Daniel Farke will have to figure a way out.
The Leeds boss will be heavily involved in transfer decisions this summer, confirmed by club chairman Paraag Marathe. Farke was instrumental in bringing Ao Tanaka and Manor Solomon to the club this season. Both players played a huge part in the promotion campaign. Solomon scored the late winner on the final day to win the league title.

Update on possible Leeds United transfer
Leeds cannot be rivalling other Premier League clubs to sign every player, so they need to expand their targets. Signing players from other leagues, or targeting some free agents.
According to reports, Leeds are eyeing a move for Kyle Walker-Peters. The Southampton man will be a free agent this summer, when his contract expires. Graeme Bailey has now revealed how possible it will be for the Whites to complete a move for the defender:
“I am told no decision just yet. Leeds have had contact, but as we know they’re one of many clubs to be in touch with him. West Ham, Spurs, Everton… there’s loads. And some foreign clubs are lurking too. Can Leeds get him? Of course. But from what I can make out it’s going to be tough.”
The club will have to beat serious competition to sign the 28-year old.
What are Leeds’ chances of signing Walker-Peters?
Realistically, the Whites have a very slim chance of signing the defender. Competing to sign a player when other Premier League clubs are also in the race is very difficult. Walker-Peters is very talented, and will start for a lot of teams in the competition.
Leeds could really do with his versatility – he can play fullback on both flanks, and also wingback. If the Whites do want to secure a deal for the England star, they will most likely have to pay him significantly higher wages and signing-on fee than Everton and Spurs who are reportedly interested.
