Leeds United have again seen many of their top players impress this season as they look to secure promotion this year.
Last year, Daniel Farke and his side suffered heartbreak at the hands of Southampton last year. They became arguably the greatest Championship team ever to miss out on automatic promotion and the defeat to the Saints just made matters worse as they saw their dreams of a Premier League return ended at Wembley.
But they have started this season impressively and are level on points with second placed Burnley in the race for promotion and many of their key players are impressing.
For example, Pascal Struijk is reminding everyone that he is a Premier League quality centre-back and Willy Gnonto has six goals and assists to his name registering a goal involvement every other game.
But one of Leeds’ best players is facing an uncertain future.

Leeds United star faces uncertain future
Junior Firpo has developed into a top talent in recent times for Leeds United, but with 15 months of his contract remaining, his future remains unclear.
But now a major update has been revealed on Firpo’s future. Transfer expert Graeme Bailey told Leeds United News:
“I haven’t heard anything in particular. He’s on really good money. I don’t think they’ll be handing out a long-term contract on his current salary. He’s done pretty well this year, but his contract over his term at Leeds has probably exceeded his performances somewhat. He’s late 20s now.
“There’s more chance he stays if they go up because I think he’s a very solid performer at that level. Would they want to upgrade? Possibly. But I think it would depend on who’s interested in him.
“I think it’s one not to particularly worry about. They’ll attack it, see around easter time and you’ll have a very good idea whether you are Premier League or playoff-bound bound and they’ll probably look at it then.”
So, Leeds are in now rush to wrap this up, but they will certainly have an eye on keeping him.
