Manor Solomon adds Premier League quality to Leeds – Claims ex-Whites star

Former Leeds United goalkeeper Paul Robinson has claimed that Manor Solomon is a player of Premier League quality in Daniel Farke’s squad and has been an excellent addition to the team.

Solomon joined Leeds on loan from Tottenham in the summer and produced a man-of-the-match performance in his debut against Hull City ahead of the international break.

The winger missed the majority of the 2023/24 campaign due to a serious injury and his appearance against Hull was his first competitive game in close to a year.

Some are already claiming Solomon showed against the Tigers that he is too good for the Championship and was almost unplayable in his first game for Leeds.

Robinson is also expecting big things for the Israeli in Leeds colours this season and is hoping to see his quality shine at Elland Road.

Paul Robinson believes Manor Solomon is a Premier League player in the Leeds squad

The former goalkeeper admitted that with Leeds losing players such as Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter this summer, the club needed someone of real quality in the team.

He believes Solomon is that player and insists that he is a Premier League player who Leeds are lucky to have in their squad due to circumstances at Tottenham.

Robinson feels Solomon was the signing of the summer for the Whites and his performance against Hull was a sign of things to come.

“I think he’s the best signing of the window at Leeds”, the former goalkeeper told MOT Leeds News.

“He’s a really clever signing – he’s a Premier League player. We saw him on loan with Fulham, which prompted Tottenham to buy him.

“He didn’t really get his opportunities at Spurs last year but he’s very well established at international level, playing over 35 games for Israel. Looking at his quality and directness, he’s someone who belongs in the Premier League.

“Leeds have lost Rutter, lost Summerville, lost Sinisterra last season. Alongside [Wilfried] Gnonto, he’s the type of player who does give Leeds Premier League quality.

“He was a very shrewd signing, who can play anywhere across the attack, even as a false-nine if needed. I thought he was excellent against Hull City.”

Solomon is expected to start when Leeds welcome Burnley at Elland Road on Saturday.
