Leeds United fans expected one move to happen this summer. And after the season they had this year, everyone would agree that the transfer was a priority.
Manor Solomon joined the Whites on loan this year. The Spurs man had been inactive for most of 2024 as he was out due to injury. Daniel Farke played a big part in bringing him to West Yorkshire, and the move paid off big time.
The winger had 10 goals and 12 assists in the Championship this season. His biggest contribution was undoubtedly his last minute winner on the final day of the season to win the league title.

After weeks of reports linking him with to a move to Elland Road, it looks like a decision has been made. Since Solomon returned to London, the news updates did not look promising for Leeds United. And now, this latest update looks like a final say from the player.
Graeme Bailey told TBR: “I am told that Solomon still thinks he can break into the first team at Tottenham. He has gained so much confidence from his spell at Leeds and now feels fully adapted to English football. He is a very interesting option, Spurs like him and are ready to let him prove himself during pre-season.”
Solomon staying to fight for a place makes a lot of sense, especially off the back of the season he has had with Leeds in the Championship.
Transfer saga has ended
This Manor Solomon saga has stretched for a bit. Initially he was open to moving to West Yorkshire and it seemed like a deal could be completed. Then some complications came in; Marseille got involved, and his agent even hinted that he could move to the French club. But circumstances prevented a move to Ligue 1 so the door was opened for Leeds again.
This recent development has now shut the door completely. Leeds need to move on from the deal to focus on other targets.
