Leeds United did some fantastic transfer business last year, and it helped them win promotion and lift the league title. Fans will be hoping for a repeat of that this summer.
Playing in the Premier League will be a much more difficult prospect next season. All three new clubs were sent back down to the Championship this season. And Leicester City and Ipswich Town, two clubs who won more points than the Whites, failed to even get 30 points in this campaign.
Leeds’ business included key signings like Jayden Bogle, Ao Tanaka and Manor Solomon. It was reported that Daniel Farke played a key role in securing deals for the last two players.

Jayden Bogle was one of the best fullbacks in the Championship this season; playing a key role in Farke’s attacking system. He contributed six goals and four assists during the campaign. Ao Tanaka was also a revelation in midfield, his performances earned him the Players’ player of the year award at the end of the season.
Solomon might have arguably been the best signing of the season. The Spurs man bounced back after months out injured, and showed his quality. 10 goals and 12 assists saw him as one of the club’s best attackers. Solomon also scored the crucial goal on the final day of the season to lift the title.
Many expected Leeds to seal a permanent deal for him when the window opened, but now there seems to be a complication. According to TBR Football, the 25-year old has told Tottenham that he wants to stay and fight for his place in the team. There is the belief that he will be with the Europa League winners in pre-season.
Huge blow for Leeds
The club are now set to lose an ideal signing. Solomon ticks all the boxes; has been productive, and provides Premier League experience. Having played under Farke this season, he would not have had to adapt.
Leeds now have to focus on finding other targets quickly.
