Manor Solomon might have sealed Leeds United contract – Forward should be signed permanently

Leeds United

After the devastating loss in the playoff final last year, Leeds United lost a whole host of players. Daniel Farke pushed for signings before the summer window closed and his request was granted.

Ao Tanaka, Joe Rothwell, Jayden Bogle and Largie Ramazani were just a few of the signings that arrived at Elland Road. The arrivals were not enough, but Daniel Farke has managed the squad well despite injury depleting the team in the middle of the season.

Manor Solomon arrived on loan from Tottenham after an underwhelming year where he missed most of the campaign due to injury. He came to Leeds with a point to prove, and on his debut, immediately won over the home crowd.

Leeds secured a much needed win against Preston on Saturday. With the pressure of a Burnley win at the back of their minds, the team remained calm and produced a great showing. Manor Solomon was the star of the show as he scored and provided an assist in the crucial 2-1 win.

Solomon won 2/3 of his ground duels, completed 4/5 of his crosses and created a big chance that led to the goal.

The Whites now sit top of the league, and are inches closer to automatic promotion after Sheffield United dropped points to Plymouth.

Manor Solomon’s performance this season

The winger has been one of the club’s most productive attackers. He ranks third in goal involvements for the team this season, and has the joint-most assists.

His ability to beat a man and deliver great crosses have been a huge benefit for the Leeds United attack. If he keeps up these performances till the end of the season, Daniel Farke might be persuaded to sign him on a permanent deal.

Yeah, but it’s gonna cost you £30 million though. I mean, if you paid £25 million for James 4 years ago and made Spurs pay £40 million for Gray, then it’s only right that Leeds pay the going rate for Solomon. No more exploiting Spurs. Pay up or we’ll sell him to someone like Everton.
