49ers Enterprises President and Executive Vice President of Football Operations says Daniel Farke was appointed as head coach because of his track record.
Farke led Norwich City to the Championship twice during his stay with the Canaries. He won the Championship with the club in 2018/19 and in 2020/21. Executive Vice President of Football Operations Marathe believes Farke is the right man for the job:
“After a thorough recruitment process, we are excited to confirm Daniel’s appointment as our first team manager.
“His record in the Championship is clear, and I am impressed by his leadership and plan to guide us back to the Premier League.
“We welcome Daniel and his staff to the club and look forward to a strong season.”
According to reports, Farke was chosen ahead of Patrick Vieira, Scott Parker and Carlos Corberan for the job at Elland Road.
