Leeds United defender Maximilian Wöber is reportedly in talks to leave the club this summer.
The Austrian missed out on Leed’s pre-season game against AS Monaco on Saturday. After the game, Leeds boss Daniel Farke revealed that Wöber wasn’t involved in the game due to “ongoing transfer speculation”:
“Then you’ve mentioned Max Wober, yes it has to do with the transfer situation and also the contract situation,” Farke told LeedsLive.
“We will await what the outcome is over the next days, but that’s the reason he wasn’t involved today.”
BBC sports broadcaster Adam Pope added an update, that Wöber has been linked to German side Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Wober not involved v Monaco today. Understand he is being linked with Borussia Mönchengladbach. #lufc

The 25-year old was one of the only signings last season to have performed above expectations. Leeds will fight to keep him at the club – he currently has four years remaining on his contract.

Four years remaining and he can walk due to Orta and his release clauses. Priceless
