Leeds United continue their search to add some quality to their squad ahead of next season. The Premier League has become more difficult to survive in every season.
All three promoted sides this year went straight down. Last year, Ipswich and Leicester pipped Leeds to automatic promotion spots but failed to hit 30 points in the top flight.
Knowing the uphill task the club faces, Leeds club chairman Paraag Marathe has vowed to the fans that the club will spend money. So far, it looks like the focus is to boost the attack for next season.

Leeds United will have to pay huge fee for Middlesbrough star

Daniel Farke continues his search to add firepower to this Leeds United attack. The depth looks unimpressive heading into the summer. Now that Manor Solomon has returned to Spurs, not many options are available in attacking areas. It is expected that Leeds will spend on a striker, and maybe an attacking midfielder.
The Irish Independent have reported that the Whites are one of the multiple clubs interested in signing Finn Azaz. The Middlesbrough star has made waves in the Championship this season.
However, there are reports that the 24-year old will not come cheap. Craig Johns of Teesside Live wrote:
“Azaz’s contract situation means Boro would have a strong position when it comes to demanding a big fee for a player they paid just over £2 million for 18 months ago from Aston Villa.”
“…This summer, they’re believed to already be in a strong position in that regard after the club-record sale of Emmanuel Latte Lath in January.”
Finn Azaz can provide a creative spark
There is a bit of imbalance in the Leeds United squad. The attackers are not that creative but can get on the end of chances to create goals. And the midfielders offer more out of possession than on the ball. This is where a player like Finn Azaz comes in.

The Middlesbrough midfielder has been the best creative player in the Championship. He leads the charts for assists, chances created, passes into the final third among others. A player like that who forces the issue and is a threat from crosses and set pieces is the perfect signing for the Premier League. Leeds would have a weapon from dead ball situations.
