Okay Yokuslu had been linked with a move to Leeds United in the summer as Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa hunted for a back-up for Kalvin Phillips.
However, a £5 million move never materialised and, when considering that Yokuslu hasn’t played a single minute of football for a struggling Celta Vigo side this season, one could be wondering why he isn’t primed and ready to slot in for Phillips when needed.
“Okay’s situation is being defined. We are not counting on him,” Celta president Carlos Mourinho said to HITC recently after Yokuslu was linked with summer moves to Leeds, Crystal Palace, Watford and Wolves.
“The player has several offers and is waiting for the best one to decide.”
No agreement, however, was ever forthcoming and now it seems Yokuslu is most certainly out of favour in the Spanish league.
