Leeds United are bracing themselves for another exit at the club as one key player considers his future.
The club’s last season in the Premier League was two seasons ago in 2022/23. Since then, the club has undergone a lot of changes on and off the pitch. After going through three managerial appointments in one season, and eventually being relegated, Leeds United went into the summer of 2023 unsure of their future.
A lot of their big money signings they acquired during their stay in the Premier League did not fancy the prospect of dropping down to play in the Championship. Leeds appointed Daniel Farke that summer, and the German coach was expected to bring the club back to the English top flight. Farke made the best out of the players that chose to stay and play in the Championship and it paid off.
Leeds United finished in third last year, and reached the Championship playoff final but lost to Southampton. The club have exceeded expectations so far this season as they hope to reach the Premier League again.
