Leeds United have got a very respected Under 23s side, with stars such as Cysencio Summerville, Sam Greenwood and Joe Gelhardt receiving a lot of praise.
It’s the latter that’s caught the attention of Leeds fans most recently, as the former Wigan forward has been promoted to the England Under 21s squad at just 19 years old.
This prompted Leeds fans to back the young striker for a first team appearance. One fan posted ‘He definitely needs a first team start. We need to score lots of goals at the moment and he’s seems the one that could do it.’

Leeds should count themselves lucky to have a prospect such as Gelhardt in their ranks, as he’s been scoring goals for fun at under 23 level. Whether that form can translate into the Premier League remains to be seen.
