Leeds United continue to push for new signings in the transfer market, with less than a week to go to their Premier League opener against Everton. Daniel Farke has asked for the club to make some new additions this past week.
Leeds will need some more bodies up top as they have already lost one player from last season. Mateo Joseph has completed his loan move to Mallorca, and Patrick Bamford could follow. The duo played their parts as backup to Joel Piroe last season.
Lukas Nmecha has been the only addition to the attack this summer, but the club need more firepower if they are to stand a chance at survival this season.

Serie A side Atalanta joined the race to sign Rodrigo Muniz. They are very keen on the striker, and hope to beat Leeds United in the race. According to Alfredo Pedulla, the Italian side have increased their bid in excess of £35million in negotiations this Tuesday.
#Muniz–#Atalanta: trattativa no stop per anticipare due club inglesi (anche il #Leeds). Siamo oltre i 40 milioni, bonus compresi https://t.co/mWAgYHl6aw

Atalanta switched their priority from Mateta to Muniz over the weekend, and are hoping to seal a deal quickly.
Leeds still keen on Rodrigo Muniz
Ben Jacobs confirmed on Monday that Leeds still see Muniz as their priority this summer. The club are keen on the Brazilian and consider him first choice above most targets. It seems they have not made an official bid yet, but could submit a proposal in the coming days.
It was also included in the report that Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one of the backup options they will consider if they lose out on the Fulham star.
Club must submit bid
One of the biggest mistakes the club made in the deal for Igor Paixao is that they waited for Marseille to make their offer. And that ultimately cost them a huge signing. Leeds must learn from their lesson now, and be proactive when it comes to negotiations.
Atalanta want to wrap up the deal quickly, and will drive up the price of the player if necessary. Per reports, no bid has been submitted by Leeds. If the club really feel Muniz is their priority target, then they must go all out to try and sign him.
Why do you guys keep peddling this crap about Muniz? He wants to go to Atlanta. If they had wanted him and felt the same, the deal would have been done by now. The sooner the Leeds heirachy accept that and move on the better otherwise all the other targets will have a few more interested parties looking at stealing them away as seems to be the pattern, as you pointed out about Paixio.
