New Leeds United kit details leak

Before the start of the 2024/25 season Leeds United made one big change to their new kit.

Red Bull bought a minority stake in the club during the summer, which meant they would become the shirt sponsors for the upcoming season.

The Red Bull investment was not a surprise. Before 49ers enterprises also invested in the club, a number of former Red Bull influences had already begun.

Leeds parted ways with Marcelo Bielsa after a poor run of games left them near the relegation zone. Jesse Marsch took over, and Leeds survived relegation. The summer transfer window saw the club invest over €80million in players from Red Bull Salzburg. The investment did not pay off as the club was eventually relegated.

Latest Leeds United kit updates

Last month, Adidas extended their deal with Leeds United. The club first signed the deal with the German manufacturer when they returned to the Premier League.

Christopher Walsh, Vice President Brand at adidas, stated that Leeds’ rich history was one of the reasons why they chose the club:

“We are thrilled to extend our successful partnership with Leeds United. Leeds United is a club with a rich history, and a passionate fan base, and we are proud to be a part of their journey.”

The latest news from Footy Headlines gives a glimpse of the new kit. The source claims that the 2025-2026 home shirt will be inspired by elements of the Lowfields tunnel leading to Leeds United’s Elland Road stadium whilst the away kit will be reminiscent of the blue away kit donned by Leeds from 2001 to 2003.

The kit will reportedly have a similar design to The Square Ball magazine fan made jersey.

A new take on Elland Road history

The past few seasons have seen the classic colours and designs of Leeds jerseys. The only standouts ,in terms of design, recently has been the 2023/24 third kit which was pink with a sort of mosaic pattern.

Most fans of modern clubs have voiced their dislike for the monochrome designs by kit manufacturers in Europe. But this reported design will be different.

The fan made kit by the Square Ball was well received, so there’s no doubt some fans will love this new design by Adidas.
