Leeds United will no doubt be looking to put their last two games behind them as they focus on this weekend. The Whites host Newcastle at Elland Road, hoping to continue their fine form.

After winning their first game of the season in front of their home crowd, there is optimism the team can secure another result. But just like last Saturday, they will be up against tough opponents in Eddie Howe’s Newcastle side. Fortunately for Leeds, the Magpies might be missing a few key players who are out due to injury and suspension.

In the meantime, the Whites are focused on wrapping up their transfer business with a few more signings planned. Leeds are also expecting some departures as Sam Greenwood, Largie Ramazani and Isaac Schmidt are on their way out of the door.

Ahead of the Newcastle game, Daniel Farke revealed that there is one major injury doubt. Leeds will be without midfield duo Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka, who both picked up MCL injuries and are out until after the international break.

Farke confirmed the club have another potential absence after Noah Okafor picked up a knock against Sheffield Wednesday.

”He’s more or less the only player who came out of Sheffield Wednesday with a few doubts.”

“Noah spoke about groin problems after the last game. Everyone else had no problems. Noah is the only major doubt at the weekend.”

Hopefully the problem is not serious, and he can take part in the next game.

Daniel Farke praises Noah Okafor start

The Leeds boss was impressed with what the Swiss winger has showed in his limited minutes on the pitch.

”Glimpses of his class vs Arsenal. In good situations, great chance and should have scored with one chance. Showed he is capable of beating defenders with pace, creativity, strength, and dribbling. Solid start but space for improvement.”
