Leeds United are set to enter the transfer market this summer to improve the team ahead of next season. Daniel Farke and the recruitment team will be in charge of building the squad for the Premier League.
Leeds will be buoyed by financial support, after club chairman Paraag Marathe vowed to help the team maintain their top flight status. So far, it looks like the club have their eye on targets in the Premier League. Daniel Farke could be in the market for experience to help his team navigate the top flight next season.
One area that has received major attention in the news has been the attack. The Whites have been linked with many strikers these past few days.

It is very likely that a new face is added to the attack alongside Joel Piroe next season.
Callum Wilson has been a major name linked with a move to Elland Road and the Newcastle star could be on the move this summer. The club have held internal talks over a possible contract extension. Wilson’s current contract has an optional one year extension, but The Athletic have now reported that the Magpies will most likely pass on extending the striker’s deal. Which means the 33-year old will be a free agent.
Wilson recently spoke on his future on the High Performance Podcast (via Chronicle Live):
“…I’d love to leave football before football leaves me, I’d never let an injury stop me from playing – I think I’ve been fit now four-and-a-half months but I’ve probably only played 250 or 300 minutes and that side of things are frustrating because you don’t want to last few years on your career to fizzle away from you, especially when you’re worked so hard to get to that point.”
Is a move for Callum Wilson worth it?
The age and the wages could scare off some teams, but there is value in signing the striker. Leeds could pursue a safe option – a short term deal with a relegation break clause, that allows Wilson to leave if the impossible happens. A one year deal on similar wages to what he earns at Newcastle could be enough to convince him.
Leeds will not lose too much with a deal like that.
He would be on the treatment table most of the time. He’s a crock and should not be even considered
