Norwich City star ‘very high’ on Leeds United transfer list – move could be made soon

Leeds United have decided this week that a new striker could be on the list this summer. Daniel Farke may finally get his attacking reinforcements.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Leeds had set their sights on some possible names to try and work deals for. One of the biggest names on the list is Everton’s Beto. It is believed that the striker is the perfect profile to lead the line. His physicality and ability to get in behind the opponent were some of the key qualities discussed.

However, getting him from Everton will be difficult as a huge £25million price tag has been slapped on the 27-year old.

QUIZ: Can you name the team Leeds United sold these players to?

The other name on the list was Norwich City star Josh Sargent. Surprisingly, Leeds are said to be big fans of the striker and are keen on a move. Initial talks have been held between the two clubs according to Sky Sports Switzerland. Sargent and his representatives are also keen on a move to the Premier League.

Graeme Bailey has also confirmed that the USMNT forward is top of Leeds’ list.

“Beto is a player who’s been discussed at Leeds, but I don’t think he’s top of their list by any stretch of the imagination, I’ll be honest.

“There’s a few names there, I think Josh Sargent is very high in their thinking, he’s a very good player, the way he’s progressed in the English game.

“Keep an eye on Leeds for him, he’s an exceptional player and they like him a lot.”

Sargent could provide an alternative to Joel Piroe

Leeds cannot go into the Premier League with Piroe as their main option up front. Brining in Josh Sargent as competition, and maybe as a partner in attack could be beneficial.

The Norwich man has a more dynamic all-round game compared to Piroe who loves to work in and around the box. Having these two in one attack could benefit Daniel Farke.

God no please, not another lame yank and a ginger one at that. Nowhere near good enough for Leeds.
