Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has already made some major decisions this summer, and the club have already backed him with six new signings to bolster his squad ahead of the start of the Premier League season next month.
The Whites are still in the market for more players, and after adding depth to the defence and forward, the Leeds boss is now focused on increasing the quality and numbers in attack ahead of his side’s top-flight return in August, when they will take on Everton at home in the opening game.
Leeds have identified Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz as the top target, and the club believe Fulham will eventually agree to do a deal for a fee less than their touted £50m asking price for the Brazilian.
However, Leeds are expected to be in the market for one more striker and one of Farke’s biggest decisions this summer is why the Whites need more numbers in their attack ahead of the start of the new season.

Simon Jordan insists Patrick Bamford is no longer good enough to play for Leeds United in the Premier League

Farke has made it clear that Patrick Bamford is no longer part of his plans in the Premier League next season, and the club will look to sell the forward this summer.
Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has conceded that other than a brief period of time in his career, Bamford has never been a consistent goalscorer and is no longer good enough to feature in the top flight.
He has no problems with Farke being honest and open about Bamford’s future at Leeds and believes the player is mature enough to handle the truth.
“He had one period of success at Leeds, and that elevated him for a period of time because we were looking for alternatives to Harry Kane”, Jordan said on talkSPORT.
“But for most of his career, he has not scored the goals that the position he occupies should dictate.”
“What is the problem with telling the truth? Some people would say it would disadvantage the sale of an asset. The owners must want to downplay the level of contempt you have for a player.
“In this instance, it is clear to him that he player is not fit for purpose, but it doesn’t mean he is not fit for purpose somewhere else. More plainspeaking instead of doublespeak is beneficial.
“People can cope with the truth as long as it is fair and is delivered in a manner which is respectful.”
Leeds now need a minimum of two strikers
The Whites came into the summer window needing at least one striker to bolster their attacking options ahead of returning to the Premier League.
However, Farke’s decision to sell Bamfod and Mateo Joseph’s call to put in a transfer request to force his way out of Elland Road have pushed the club to try and bring in two strikers.
Muniz is their primary target, but Nmecha is set to be the only recognised striker in the squad at the moment. Leeds would need one more as back-up in the team.
Leeds have been linked with an interest in Premier League veteran Callum Wilson and Inter Milan striker Mehdi Taremi this summer.
